Day 27: Manning Gorge to Drysdale River Station, 170km

Another day, another gorge but this one required a river crossing (where you had to swim across and push your belongings in floating bin) and then a 5km return Grade 4 walk.

Manning Gorge

The swim to the walk. So many people (kids and oldies) use pool noodles. I want one!

Manning Gorge was accessed from the campground and was worth the trek. The nice part was that you get to have a swim in the river on your return at the river crossing. Then it was a drive to Drysdale River station for fuel and dinner, preparing for the big drive up to Mitchell Falls tomorrow; probably the most remote area we will get to in the whole trip. Like all the places we have stayed, it is friendly, with reasonably good facilities and great food.
